New Delhi Debuts Shared E-Bike Pathways in South Delhi

The Delhi government inaugurated its first dedicated e-bike pathway stretching 10 km around the Qutub Institutional Area. Designed for shared battery e-bikes and delivery cycles, the route features solar-lit lanes, charging docks, and pedestrian amenities. Authorities expect to reduce carbon footprint and provide safer transit for first- and last-mile commutes. Users sign up via mobile apps and pay per minute. Plans include expanding into East and North Delhi by 2026.
